Tender springs on YXZ1000R April 10, 2022 Reviewer: Patrick O'Connor from Peoria, AZ United States   First Big improvement was adding the nitrogen caps from SRS and that made a huge difference adding 200psi nitrogen, still wasn't able to get rid of the bucking on bumps but it certainly helped. By adding this kit changed the game 100%. I am starting all over again with shock adjustments, right out of the box I was able to run sections at 65 mph which is way faster than I could before, what an amazing difference it made. The kit was easy to install and I actually didn't completly remove my shocks off the car, I removed the outside upper A arm bolt and brake caliper and bungee corded it up out of the way and unbolted lower shock mount. I did have to discharge the nitrogen in order to push the shock up and out. Installed the rest of kit as per instructions. I set my preload at 9 inches from shock head to top of factory spring, I do run a spare tire, cooler, jack and tools all in the back bed so that extra weight needs to be compensated for with preload. YXZ tender spring kit August 20, 2017 Reviewer: Gerald Audette from Minneapolis, MN United States   In my opinion the only down fall on the 2016 YXZ is too much spring pre-load front and back and the factory and heavy rear spring. I backed pre-load and shocks off from factory set-up and was very impressed with ride and handling. I dialed in the front to near perfection, but the rear spring was to much. Looking for a practical solution I came across the Schmidty Racing tender kit. I installed the kit on my YXZ and could not be more pleased, it does what they say and claim! There is a lot of Hype out there for a solution for the stiff, donkey kick spring on the YXZ. I only found Schmidty Racing to have a practical, sensible solution - you guys rock !! Yamaha YXZ 1000r Fox 2.5" REAR SHOCK Tender/Dual-R October 17, 2016 Reviewer: David Britton from Oregon City, OR United States   The instructions for the shock settings were not clear. 1 3/4 turns in from what starting point?
